New On Hold Message Player Available

Technology moves at a blistering pace. Sometimes it seems as though what was ground-breaking yesterday is obsolete today.
And, if the newest tech gadget is not replaced by something smaller, faster or better – the upgrade comes out before we figure out how to use all the bells and whistles on the LAST upgrade.
But, sometimes new technology becomes available at the right time, for the right reasons and fills a need that we’ve been longing for. This is the case with the VersaPlay E10 Interactive Network Message On-Hold System by ProDigital Manufacturing, LLC.
The essential technology is not new (it’s an MP3 audio player), but the new features answer several key issues for remote on hold message updates.
It’s a definite improvement over previous MP3 message players which require the end user to save the MP3 audio file received via email, then drag and drop it onto a flash drive which is then placed into the message player. With the E10, on hold providers (such as AAA Phone On Hold) can simply send an email directly to the message player in order to change the audio – no end user interaction required.
Not only are message updates achieved remotely via email, but providers can also schedule new messages to begin and end on a specific date, all by sending an email. We can also adjust the volume remotely the same way. In addition, it has an auto restart feature in case of a power outage.
There are other message players that can be updated remotely, but the audio is stored in “the cloud.” And, with so much data going into “the cloud,” it’s only a matter of time before hackers gain access to and start messing around with your on hold messages. Sure, it’s not your clients’ credit card information, but it’s not something you want anyone to change without your permission.
Luckily, these new players are secure and the audio is stored in the unit’s digital memory. Because it is a “call out” unit, there is no Local Area Network presence. It cannot be accessed by outside forces because there is no surface to attack, which completely eliminates security risks. Any email the unit receives that does not contain the special security code is vaporized, leaving nothing behind.
Welcome to the 21st century – the new VersaPlay E10 is available now.
